On Tuesday, 18th of May the SAM team held a Pink Ribbon Morning Tea to raise funds for the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation. A delectable assortment of cupcakes, fruit, slices, and sandwiches were enjoyed by all.
$3600 was raised which is an excellent result. These proceeds will go towards helping in several ways including research, rehabilitation, counselling, helplines, and educating people about the early detection of breast cancer.
Breast cancer awareness is a topic close to our heart. In 2019, Niki Bakker underwent treatment for breast cancer.
